Biography

Sana is an Animation major and Creative Writing minor with aspirations to become a full-time author or screenwriter. She's always had a deep passion for psychological and trauma-driven narratives in YA fiction. Sana was born in Texas, spent fifteen years in California, and returned home in 2020. When she's not writing, she's sweating over her college workload, reading something intense, or cuddling with her family cats (her co-editors, if you will). 

Traitor of the Veil began as a short story assignment in Sana's Advanced Fiction Workshop class, and it slowly grew into a world she's proud to share. She loves writing characters that resonate with underrepresented communities, especially the mental health community. Her protagonists aren’t perfect — they’re human. They’re real. And Sana hopes they encourage readers to embrace their own flaws, too.

My primary audience is readers of upper-YA psychological thrillers, dystopian fiction, and character-driven stories centered on trauma, identity, and survival. 

As a Muslim, mixed-heritage writer who is also part of the mental-health community, I am committed to reaching readers from marginalized backgrounds who connect with stories about resilience and found family.

I am open to virtual events, interviews, and blog features, as well as school visits, bookstore and library panels, and online workshops focused on writing trauma-centered YA fiction.
